Rank Group Forecasts £76 Million Operating Profit for 2025/26

Rank Group Plc announced on Tuesday that its underlying operating profit for the fiscal year ending 30 June 2026 is projected to reach at least £76 million. This figure exceeds the previous market forecast of £63.7 million, despite the inclusion of a £5 million provision for a regulatory settlement.

The operator reported a 6% year-on-year rise in like-for-like net gaming revenue (NGR) to £834.1 million for the twelve-month period. Fourth-quarter like-for-like NGR reached £208.9 million, also reflecting a 6% increase. Management noted that operating expenses remained under strict control across all business units throughout the year.

Divisional Performance and Regulatory Updates

Growth was recorded across all segments. Grosvenor Casinos generated £397.3 million in annual NGR, a 5% increase, with the fourth quarter rising 3% to £98.3 million. The digital division saw the strongest annual growth, with NGR climbing 8% to £248.5 million and Q4 NGR jumping 12% to £63.9 million.

Mecca Bingo reported a 4% annual rise to £143.0 million, while Enracha Casinos in Spain saw a 7% increase to £45.3 million.

The company included a £5.0 million provision in its 2025/26 accounts regarding a settlement proposal with the UK Gambling Commission. This addresses compliance issues identified during a review of Grosvenor Casinos Limited operating licence between 1 November 2024 and 1 May 2025. Rank submitted the proposal on 20 May, calculated based on gross gambling yield and commission guidance.

Earlier in December, the Spanish branch faced a €7.1 million payment fraud incident. The group reported the matter to law enforcement agencies and is conducting an internal investigation with external legal counsel.
